Through three historic homes in Friuli Venezia Giulia, you’ll discover how the Udine-born artist’s sculptures interact with centuries-old gardens, offering a cultural experience accessible to all. Free outdoor exhibitions and events await you, offering a new and engaging way to experience art.

Villa Pace

Tapogliano, Udine

History

Located in the small rural village of Tapogliano and surrounded by a large garden, Villa Pace is a magnificent residence built between the 17th and 18th centuries

by the Pace family.

The Sculptures

Celiberti’s works find an ideal location among the tree-lined avenues and historic flowerbeds.

Events

Conference on therapeutic greenery with presentation of the book “Saving Yourself with Greenery.”

Villa Attems

Lucinico, Gorizia

History

Villa Attems, located in Lucinico in the Gorizia Collio area, dates back to the mid-17th century as a property of the noble Attems Petzenstein family.

The Sculptures

The works find a suggestive setting for contemporary art in the park, rich in plant species.

Events

The closing event will include a cross-border charity concert. Proceeds will be donated to the Udine Alzheimer Association.

“Art is something that is born within, no one knows where it begins or where it will end.”

Giorgio Celiberti (Udine, 1929) is a leading figure in contemporary Friulian art. Trained in Venice in Emilio Vedova’s studio, he developed an artistic language that ranges from painting to sculpture, always rooted in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region,
through the manipulation of materials and the juxtaposition of primitive signs and elements.
His works, which celebrate the relationship between man and nature, are now the focus of a UNESCO project in the region’s historic gardens.
